Guest chrismaber Posted September 22, 2005 Share Posted September 22, 2005 Hi, I have a unusual request. Is it possible to allow select (wholesale) customers to see sale mode prices. I know that there is a mod. available for site wide group discounts but I have customer that requires individual discounts per item rather than a fixed % or $ amount. If it were possible to have select customers allocated as "Wholesale" and they use the "Sale Mode" prices my client could set individual sale prices for each item. goober999 Posted September 23, 2005 Share Posted September 23, 2005 I have a mod that does EXACTLY that, well... almost The mod is all done, I just have to write the install docs for it. I hate doing documentation. Here's how the mod works. You can create an unlimited number of customer groups for example: Wholesale Group Gold Club Members Preferred Customers East Cost Cutomers West Cost Customers .... Once the groups are defined. You will need to edit your registered customer and assign that customer to a group of your choice, Wholesale Group, for instance. Now your customer is a member of Wholesale Group. Now you go to your product inventory. Edit each product and assign a SEPARATE FIXED price to this product within each group. So.... If you defined the 5 groups above, EACH of your products will now have 7 (seven) prices. One default price, if a customer is not in any group, 1 sale price, and 5 other prices, one for each group. You like it so far? But wait there is more Each group can have an optional quantity discount trigger, If a customer buys more that x amount of that product, you can change the price of that product to a new discounted fixed price. So now in my example above that would mean that each product has 12 different prices. Remenber, that the quantity discount trigger is optional and can be specified on any group price. I hope I did not confuse anyone. This has been a brain dump....
