crap, I added a poll, and it wont allow all the entries, or another 2nd poll:

These are the 2nd batch I missed:

NoChex

Paymate

PayPal (Standard and IPN)

PayPal Pro (Direct Payment/Express Checkout)

PaySystems

Protx

Verisign

WorldPay

2Checkout

Other

Can an admin add those to the list somehow?

Or maybe we should remove the poll all together since it might distract from the info?

Ding, I'm really glad you're constructing this little poll. I'd be very interested to see the results, because I've only used the only gateway that I'd heard of (PayPal), and I really should learn about the others and make an informed choice.

Why don't you just make 2 or 3 polls, and put instructions for people to check all polls before they vote? Less than ideal, but it would work.

PayPal Standard/IPN info:

Setup fee: $0

Monthly fee: $0

Transaction fees: 1.9% to 2.9% + $0.30 USD

(This is charged on every transaction, regardless of whether money comes directly from PayPal account or from a credit card, so considering lots of money goes in and out of PayPal accounts without getting withdrawn, they take fees off the same cash over and over again..... smart system)

PayPal Pro:

Setup fee: $0

Monthly fee: $20 USD per month fee (this fee is waived until 1st Feb 2006)

Transaction fees: 1.9% to 2.9% + $0.30 USD

Yeah, I just tried to edit the poll and it won't let me add more to it. Perhaps a US-based and International gateway polls? It would be one way to divide. Of course PayPal and Authorize (at least) are US-based but take international payments as well. Hmmmm.....

Setup/MonthlyFee/TransactionFee are too much though I have Indian account on this gateway, only the plus point is they accept Net Banking Payments too. I would also like to go with Paypal but there are some issue with it.

1. Minor: Don't accept Indian Rupees (not a big issue as the currencies accepted at this time are fine)

2. Major: I have setup my products & shipping in Indian Rupees(INR), second currency is US$.

If someone select US$ (while shopping at store) it shows everything fine upto cart, BUT when we checkout with Paypal it picks INR prices (not the converted) and shows these prices AS US$ even if I make US$ as my default currency in admin>General Settings (i.e. if a product is of INR 100.00 at Paypal it will be US$ 100.00) If anyone can help me with this ? ;)

Anyone? :)

I have to use CCNOW for tangible products, because I am in Latinamerica. It works 100% of the times with cubecart 3.0.4, but if you go back in the browser it sends code errors so the customer has to try again.

I have a 2Checkout account but will use it for e-products, because I have hear bad stuff about them and will not risk my money.

Ikobo not a good option as 2checkout for tangible products.

Cons: 9% rate per sale and 9.95 per month

Hello,

Wasn't sure were to post this. I need to use my banks CC processing system. They give me a php script which passes variables via POST to their server secure URL. Do you guys have a manual or subforum on how I can create my own gateway to inject those values into this php script I have been given by my bank ?

Thank you much. Excellent software.

Thanks for the list - what about Paypal's "Virtual Terminal?" Can that be used - or is there a module to purchase that will make this work? OR is that the same as Paypal's Direct Pay?

Hope you still need a module! I've added a payment module for PlugNPay in the files area of the forums! It'll be on their module page soon too!

Thanks for the list, I think prices are subject to change without notice and even it is hard to find the prevailing Price without asking for a quote to the respective payment processors.

Btw these payment processor can be also added to the list;

ChronoPay EU

Cdgcommerce US

Moneybookers UK/international

Cardservice International

Please post your discussions in the Gateway forum and not in this topic. Threads have been moved to the Authorize net discussion

Roban, perhaps I missed something, but I didn't see a full list of gateways in the gateway forum.

Perhaps this thread needs to be moved there and pinned?

I do NOT recommend 2checkout. I tried them a couple years ago. They had some sort of "screening process" which they said had to be done to make sure I was a legit merchant. This "screening process" was them calling the first two people who bought off my site, at 8 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING and wanting to know all about their purchase and if I seemed to be a good business or not. One of the customers was a friend of mine, she told the guy it was 8' o clock and to not ever call her house that early again, so he says "okay" then calls back an hour later. I mean what the h**l, dude do they really have to harrass people like that?! I called them, was put on hold forever, then finally talked to a very RUDE c.s.r. that acted like I just ruined her oh so important day by being upset they were calling my customers at EIGHT IN THE MORNING wanting to INTERVIEW them on my shop. I told her to cancel my freaking account and send me my sales money right away and she refused to and said the account was on hold until the company deemd it fit as a legit business. I never got my money, it was a little over $120.

I use PayPal now. I've got a verified merchant account. They've been really good at answering emails and phone calls. The only complaint I have is how the IPN seems to have a bit of buggy issues with CubeCart. If I can get it to work flawlessly (import all the info correctly, redirect back to the shop without saying "Failed") i'll be 100% happy ;P

Eep! Is 2Checkout still this bad? I am considering using them--I need to switch gateways, because I have found PayPal Merchant Pro to be more than a little bit of a hassle. The integration went fine, but now I'm finding that a lot of my customers don't trust the PayPal logo, and will abandon a sale on that basis--they don't see PayPal as a safe place for their credit card information.

I have also found PayPal's customer service to be right at the top of the list of Worst on the Net. They take forever to reply to a customer service inquiry and when they do, they rarely answer the question directly. Instead they send canned responses, usually based on the subject line of the email--but not having anything to do with the actual content of the email I sent.

Has anyone had more recent experience with 2checkout, and if so, how was it?

Thanks!

Can someone tell me if I can customise the Cube cart to work with a real-time gateway which I already have access to, which is ECHO (Electronic Clearing House). Echo is not listed in the gateways on Cube Cart, but I don't know if that means we are restricted to use only them or not?

I use 2co at my website and so far no problems. Whenever a contacted their support I received straightforward answers and was able to use it farily easily. With cubercart it worked instanly, though my live store is still using OsCommerce.

My only critic is how 2co payment form looks like. Not really that friendly or realibly looking in my opinion, though none of my customers ever complained about it.

I use CDGcommerce.com and they are outstanding.

I have emailed them several times asking different questions and I always get a good response.

If you use their gateway there is less costs and they also have a 100% Fraud Loss Protection.

There is also a CubeCart Module that will work with their gateway too!

I enabled PayPal Direct for my website. Everything seems to be working, however, after my customers put in their credit card info, an error message comes up saying, "Sorry, your order failed! You can attempt to purchase your basket contents again below:"

Can anyone please help me?
