We're all trying to sell something. To do this we have to get people to our sites and more importantly...keep them there. Here are some tips to help get traffic:

Track all sources of traffic generation

Track where all traffic comes from and at what cost. It is crucial to know exactly how many sales, newsletter sign-ups, or other leads your particular marketing campaign is generating. This enables you to work smarter and not harder. By tracking all traffic to your site you can make twice as much while working fifty percent less. Get a good stats generator!

Content is King

On the internet, people are searching for one thing....... Content! Load your website with as much content as possible. Then, continuously add content. Search engines love information and they will love your site if you've got lots of it. There's plenty of free content for the taking on the internet so search for it. Be aware also that spiders pick up what is in your side boxes so these are a valuable piece of real estate and perfect for testimonials and other snippets of information you'd like to get out on the Web.

Affiliate Programs

You simply have to see that your website contains quality content & submit your website on quality sites with great PR and you also have to do Social Book Marking of your website to grab the traffic for your website.

Hi...,

You can start with forums, web directories, article directories, social sites, etc. Then put up a blog, and put fresh content as much as you can, blog is a good means of marketing as each posts are indexed immediately as soon as they are published, just make sure you configure ping servers to your blog properly. Definitely you can get good traffic.. I am sure Its my experience....

You can get traffic by increasing backing and by Social Media optimization like : Face book, twitter, Google etc.

There are various link building ideas some of them are:

1. Good and quality content

2. Article Submission

3. Press release submission

4. Blog Commenting

5. Social Bookmarking

6. Forum posting

7. Rss feed submission

8. Blog posting etc..

Adding traffic to your site... one good suggestion is to find SEM experts (Search Engine Marketing)

If you will do this yourself, the simplest thing you can do are: article submission, social bookmarking... these two are great start to market your product...

I completely agree with dannsalik, keeping in mind that it is an ongoing process that can not work a month at those points and then forget about them, we must maintain it and invest time and resources to be truly effective

Good advice, I think number one is the best, you need to have a good thing in the first place, build it and they will come, in mortar and brick age people always wondered where to build it, here or there, in the end people came to the place they thought had the best deal, service, price, even if it was located far away from their daily bath.
