Guest
I noticed that this question is asked _lots_ of times... make sure you search before asking this. 1. Images are resized using gd, I have tried versions 1 and 2, and in both the image quality, even when set to 100, is bad. 2. If you want good images, make your own thumbnails with photoshop/fireworks, and replace the ones in /images, where it's usually thumb_(original image name).(origional image extension) . Guest
Take the image you plan on uploading as the main image. (Assume that this image is called product.jpg) Open it up, and use a professional image program to resize it within a 100x100 pixel box. (If I had a 300x200 image, I'd resize the 300 to 100.) Save this as thumb_product.jpg Create your new product, and upload the product.jpg image. Use ftp to overwrite the thumb_product.jpg with the one that we made. Done!
