Guest Brivtech
I'm trying to get a function out of .htaccess. Perhaps I'm going the wrong way about it. If I have a CC store on a subdomain, that's great, however, if someone goes and types in www. before the subdomain, then that's a big headache. So, through some sort of trickery, I want to convert: www.subdomain.domain.com into: subdomain.domain.com And I want that same rule applied to any subdomains that I choose. Can this be done? About the closest I've come to this is to rewrite a URL if the www is missing, putting it back in, but in this case, reversing that and taking it out, but I'm thinking through my playing around that this isn't the right way to go about it. I simply don't know enough apache to sort it.
Guest
What you want should be done in the DNS and Apache config, not .htaccess. Talk to your hosting company about it. :(
