Product Text Description Issue

Hello everyone, I was hoping someone would have a fix for this issue I have.

I go to my ADMIN/GENERAL SETTINGs and change my "Length of product precis:(Chars)" to "0" which removes the text listed after the products tilte. It does remove the text but leaves three periods "..." These three periods are also after the text at all times. To me these three periods do not look good for any product presentation.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THEM FOR GOOD?

Open yourskin/ styletemplates/ content/ viewcat.tpl.

Find:

<td class="tdListTitle"><strong>{LANG_DESC}</strong></td>

and comment out like so:

<!--<td class="tdListTitle"><strong>{LANG_DESC}</strong></td>-->

That will get rid of the description completely.

Nope it did not work. The text is gone but the Three Periods are still there "..."

Just tried it and it works for me !!!!!!!!

The description vanished along with the three ...'s

Post that bit of the code when you commented it out for us to check + What skin you using ?

You've still got the call to the Text Description in your viewCat.tpl:

	{TXT_DESC}<div class="txtOutOfStock">{TXT_OUTOFSTOCK}</div></td>

See the {TXT_DESC} in the above code? Thats where the template will place the text description. Just delete that and everything will work as required.
