Integrating Cc4 With Idev5

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to integrate iDev5 with my CC4 Store. I am having trouble figuring out what variables replace the XXX's in the following code...

Hidden Image Tag Version...

<img border="0" src="http://www.BungalowGirlz.com/idevaffiliate/sale.php?profile=72198&idev_saleamt=XXX&idev_ordernum=XXX" width="1" height="1">

Javascript Version...

<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.BungalowGirlz.com/idevaffiliate/sale.php?profile=72198&idev_saleamt=XXX&idev_ordernum=XXX"></script>

Can anyone help me with this? Or is there a better way to integrate it that I am not catching?

I believe one of the two codes should work by placing them into my sales confirmation page. Any help is appreciated!

Thank you!

~Amy

Did you ever get an answer to this? I'm thinking of using iDev and there doesn't seem to be anybody else successfully using it.

You don't need to worry about the image tag variables. Just use the iDevAffiliate integration module built in to CC and that's all taken care of for you.

The main problem you'll run into is that CC4 triggers the sale tracking when the order is placed, BEFORE payment is made. I've reported this as a bug in the bug tracker, but have not yet seen any action taken on it.

Thanks much. Until that's fixed I'll make sure we go back and confirm each order in there was paid for and subtract any fees necessary I guess. That might tick off some affiliates though. Hope the bug is fixed soon.

Yes, iDevAffiliate can be set where all commissions are "pending" and you have to approvem them manually.

In CC V4.3, you can sign-in to your iDevAffiliate admin from within the CC iDevAffiliate module. But if you have the URL to iDevAffiliate set correctly with the ending slash ( /idevaffiliate/ ), trying to sign-in to the iDevAffiliate admin will result in a double-slash being added to the URL. iDevAffiliate still integrates correctly, you will only have a problem if you try to sign-in to iDevAffiliate admin from CC.

I have notified CC support about this minor issue.
