Guest realwebvalues
I am looking for information regarding the "Google Base Feeds" and the "Google Base Bata" icon in cc admin when viewing products and so forth. When clicking on the icon a text document which includes what appears to be a site map or something along those lines and it is upto date. Can someone please shed some light on this as I have the SEO MOD and I am wondering if I even need to submit a site map at all? Thank you in advance for your help. Frank Real Web Values. Homar
It is a feed for submission to Google Base (formally Froogle) that lists your products in the Google Product Search: http://www.google.co.uk/prdhp?hl=en&tab=wf
Guest cherryaa
It is a feed for submission to Google Base (formally Froogle) that lists your products in the Google Product Search: It doesn't actually do anything though! Currently the icon downloads a piece of javascript and a partial product list. Very disconcerting! It doesn't seem to match Google's data requirements all that well .... This is going to confuse my client. Is it safe to remove all the google base code from product/index.php? @realwebvalues: It is definitely not a Google sitemap, you should still submit your site as normal :)
