Is there an option somewhere in the admin to remove the numbers showing how many items are in each category in the main categories box? Ive had a look but cant find anything in admin, or is there some code i can change to accomplish this?

FYI-You can a great deal of information regarding the template structure in the Documentation ;)

FYI - Maybe you should read it. :)

This is done by removing:

({NO_PRODUCTS})

:)

I have also done the same thing and it didn't work.

I have also read the documentation which doesn't help.

The documentation says the .tpl file also relates to a corresponding .php file but i daren't change anything in there.

I found the line that echos the output of numbers in the .php but surely i would just have to change it in the .tpl file.

I have tried what has been suggested here and tried to find it myself but it doesn't work and i can't work it out. Can someone please advise.

.......and as if by magic.....they disappear!! Thanks Robsta

I didn't have caching enabled so couldn't find it. :)

If caching is disabled, then caching should not be an issue. Very odd.

It's fine to have caching disabled while developing the store, in fact it's recommended. Just need to remember to enable it again once the site is launched to improve performance :)
