SSL Issue

I purchased and installed a dedicated SSL cert for my domain.

I installed Cubecart 4 and everything is working (SSL not turned on).

I went to https://www.storename.com (while SSL was turned off) and everything is fine.

I turned on SSL, then when trying to visit my basked, the URL is now messed up:

https://storename.comwww.storename.com/inde...758376a44f3fcd7

My Settings:

HTTP Root Relative Path: /

HTTP Absolute URL: http://www.storename.com

HTTP Root Path: /home/storename/public_html

Enable SSL: YES

Force SSL: NO

HTTPS Root Relative Path: /

HTTPS Absolute URL: https://www.storename.com

HTTPS Root Path: /home/storename/public_html

Why is this happening? Any way to fix?

Got a strange error when trying to access the site checkout using SSL, the URL is incorrect/malformed...

https://www.xxxxxx.com/cart/www.xxxxxx.com/...f047146afd88ef2

This happens when transferring from HTTP to HTTPS in the store

SSL settings...

Version 4.1.1

Dedicated SSL cert for www.xxxxxx.com

http root relative path = /cart/

http absolute url = https://www.xxxxxx.com

https root relative path = /cart/

https absolute url = https://www.xxxxxx.com/cart/

Any ideas?

http root relative path = /cart/

http absolute url = https://www.xxxxxx.com

https root relative path = /cart/

https absolute url = https://www.xxxxxx.com/cart/

Yah, that looks wrong now.

I'm assuming you're installing it in a folder called cart, so my recommendation would be as follows:

httpS root relative path: /cart/ - Correct

httpS absolute URL: https//www.example.com/cart - Yours looks wrong, it should have the /cart folder afterwards - no slash (/) at the end though as my example shows.

httpS root path: /home/content/e/x/a/example/html - This is not like a normal web address. Please ask your hosting provider for more information about this - You haven't specified this in your example.

if you don't want to show your own domain name here, use example.com instead, it's easier to follow.

By the way, I've merged these 2 topics, as they are exactly the same problem.

I have had a similar issue. All settings where correct and it opened up secure pages just like stated in previous post. I just simply upgraded to the newest version of cubecart and it fixed it. It just worked after the upgrade.

I'm actually experiencing EXACTLY the same problem, I've contacted my hosts, and they have advised that it may well be a bug within Cubecart.

I currently run Cubecart 3 on one shop - and the SSL works fine, but when the new cubecart 4 (4.1.1 - cause we're still prior to php5) it's still on the same domain, and all the settings within admin are pretty much the same - just the store different, it seems to stop working for the SSL.

ie

http://www.example.com/store1

https://www.example.com/store1

both work fine..

but

https://www.example.com/store2

doesn't work.

it puts it as:

http://www.example.com/store2example.com/?ccUser=

Any suggestions - apart from upgrading ('cause I can't at the mo)

Cheers folks,

Still having issues with this...

HTTP Root Relative Path: e.g. /store/ = /cart/

HTTP Absolute URL: e.g. http://www.domain.com = http://www.example.com/cart

HTTP Root Path: e.g. /path/to/your/webstore = /homepages/15/a123456789/htdocs/cart (path masked but site is correct)

HTTPS Root Relative Path: e.g. /store/ = /cart/

HTTPS Absolute URL: e.g. https://secure.domain.com/store = https://www.example.com/cart

HTTPS Root Path: e.g. /path/to/your/secure/webstore = /homepages/15/a123456789/htdocs/cart (path masked but site is correct)

SSL cert address includes the www

Store work fine, checkout works fine, but after return from the payment processor the return URL is all wrong, so the orders don't get marked as paid (ignore the spaces)...

https : // www.example.com/cart/www.example.com/index.php?_g=co &_a=cart &ccUser=3ae430e7470d944f1f047146afd88ef2

This url problem also manifests itself in the customer email, the view order email URL misses out the /cart folder

Unfortunately the site is hosted at 1and1 (not my choice!)

has anyone cracked this problem?

Hi!

I am having a similar problem. Having installed ver 4.2.3 right from scratch twice. Everything worked well with SSL turned ON and Force SSL OFF.

Then sudennly everything got messed up. After selecting the item and putting in Shopping Basket , when you go to check out, the Shopping basket becomes empty. Even in the admin panel for Currency Auto-Update , stopped updating.

When you click on Auto Update it resets the Currency to a value of O.

This has happened twice. Now i have to clean install all over again. Then it will work.Wonder why it happens.

Does any one face this same problem.

Thanks
