Guest OzzyWeb
Something strange is happening to my Cubecart 4.1.22-standard. Everything has been running fine for over a year now. Suddenly I had "Cache" folder say it needed permissions changed from 755 to 777. So I fixed that. Now the "security code" verification image for new registrations is gone. What could this be? Please help
Ausy
See if you host has changed anything on the server. Permission 755 should be ok for the cache folder, leaving any folders with permissions set to 777 is not secure.
Guest OzzyWeb
nope. that didn't work. what else would effect the security code captcha not showing up on registrations page?
Guest OzzyWeb
i just upgraded my cart to CC4.3.3 and it still has the security code box with no captcha showing. how do I turn this off?
Ausy
There is a hack, I will have a look for it. I see you have a modded skin, make sure you have made all the updates to the skin, there were a few from your original version. Check the news and updates section. http://forums.cubecart.com/index.php?showforum=1 You can turn off the spam code through admin, general settings, but that disables it everywhere. Guest OzzyWeb
thank you Ausy. I just checked the captcha using the default theme in my new 4.3.3 update and the captcha is still not working. could this have something to do with my host's end and their GD Library? Ausy
Possible, I don't know enough about that to say. I did notice that the path to the capture image did not look right, it was missing &_a=verifyGD at the end.
