bathroomboy Posted January 22, 2010 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Hi Guys and Girls, I was browsing through my web files and notice a large amount of files that start with core. in /public_html. this maybe a stupid question......but what are they? ( By now you have probably gathered i'm no php genius ) I seem to have 43 files that are approx 91 MB each!!!! Guest degsey69 Posted January 23, 2010 Share Posted January 23, 2010 You should look at those files asap, somebody could be using your server for there own purposes and disgusing the files, compare your files to the downloaded installed ones and delete any thing that should not be there. Many thanks for your help. I contacted the host who deleted the files quoting: "The core files are usually created when the process tries to access invalid memory location due to improper coding.
