Guest AllThatMayRhyme
Hi, I'm having a situation with a shared server where i would need to change the PHP version to 5. The site is currently running on PHP4 and it isn't possible to change folder by folder basis. So changing the PHP version would affect every installed script / folder. I have textpattern and several other programs installed but also Cubecart (v 3.0.15). What i'm thinking is that what will happen if i'll do the switch (to PHP5) ? Will the Cubecart go to pieces? or should it keep on working?
jerseyjoe
I host quite a few CC shops (mostly v3). About 3/4 weeks ago, I upgraded our servers to the current versions of both PHP and MySQL. Not one has reported a problem. Also, be aware that if your host offers cPanel, you can adjust which version of those items are applied to that installation. bsmither
Depends on what build of PHP5. Search on the term "Deprecated" for something that will probably hit you if you get the latest builds of PHP5.
