Guest fishing
How do you get google bots to trawl your shop? I've added my url to google several times but wondered if there was a way to have the bots trawl it. Thanks fishing.
Guest
If you've submitted your site to google or any search engine, they will eventually crawl it. To see if your links are in their directory yet, do a search for "site:yoururl.com" and it will show all links to your site. My cubecart stores average 500-1500 entries in google per store for example, so you just need to be patient and let it crawl your site. You might add a google sitemap to speed up the process and verify your site using their webmaster tools.
vokf
It is acceptable in this forum to link to your CubeCart store. See Mysty's signature. You can add a link to your store in the user control panel and then edit the signature. Every post you make/reply will automatically include a link to your store. This forum will be regularly crawled by the Bots. If you are active in other forums, check the rules - and if allowed (some do not, some require a link back from your site), add a signature link there. As you gain more experience with CubeCart, you may be able to help others (if you have the time), and regular posting will keep your visibility fairly high. Note: Links to non-CubeCart stores are removed Jason
Guest
Oh yup, forgot to mention signature links I actually include them for those looking for examples of cubecart stores, but it does help with backlinks some too. So do things like blogs and other things easy to do that you can include links back to your store like digg, del.ici.ous etc. I've just started doing some keyword specific landing pages too so don't have the stats yet, but expect for them to boost my visibility for these keywords - http://www.gothicplus.com/steampunk.php http://www.gothicplus.com/alchemygothic.php http://www.gothicplus.com/vampires.php and http://www.gothicplus.com/demoniagothshoes.php are the ones I've done so far - planning ones for my other sites over time as well. Guest charles123krik
Googlebot is a search bot used by Google, which collects documents from the Web site to build the search index on Google search engine traffic. Use abbreviations character formatting available in language combinations. Googlebot crawls page to collect a huge index all the words that I felt his positions on each page. Guest johnhardy009
If Google relied entirely on the deep crawl, its index would quickly become outdated in the rapidly shifting Web. To stay current, Google launches various supplemental fresh crawls that skim the Web more shallowly and frequently than the deep crawl. Google has no obligation to touch any particular URL with a fresh crawl. Sites can increase their chance of being crawled often, however, by changing their content and adding pages frequently.
