Hello,

I had recently made a NEW design for my future cubecart store. Not likely to use this design cuz it look more like valentine's day stuff. I competely done all of the graphics myself.

Any comments or thoughts of improving something.. please do tell me as I wish to improve.

Notice: beat all other design I had done -

http://cubedturnkey.com/turnkeys/1/index.php (remember, orangey design?)

http://cubedturnkey.com/turnkeys/2/index.php (my first or second design when I had wacko-biz.net)

http://cubedturnkey.com/turnkeys/4/index.php (ofc.. I didn't made this graphic)

Nice.

Pity you couldn;t have made the header background graphoic seamless. That line down the middle kinda ruins it.

Also, with the cheesecake in the header, you did a pretty good job of cutting it out, but there are one or two spots where you can still just see the original white background.

Next time, might I suggest using a 2 or 3 pixel soft edge when cutting it out. This works almost like a fade-out and helps to blend the edge into the background, making it more forgiving of tiny bits of leftover background.

And just because its red, dowsnt mean you can only use it for Valentines. Red is the color of passion...and thats good year round. :sourcerer:

Yeah I noticed it. I did made a large wide background but wasn't able to display it as supposed to look like. Now I'm checking to see what I did wrong that causing middle... (seem that there are three columns instead of two).

Yes I noticed little spots of white. I wanted to get rid of it but most of the time, it caused the image (cheesecake) to look plain.

True. I wanted to give a feeling to show that its a cheesecake site. I thought of white-gray design (opposite of red-pink) but wouldn't look good.

In order to make the header background seem seamless try this....

The cheesecake graphic is a gif with a transparent background.

The red/pink background should be 1 pixel wide (but can be somewhat wider but that would not look as good) and entered into the table tag as such.....

If you choose to use the marble background as such, you can edit it in a graphics program such as Paint Shop Pro and make it a seamless tile this too would also elliminate the seam.

<table background="image_folder/your_image_name.gif" >(the rest of the table tag can be left alone, you just have to add the background part that is in bold)

This will make the background repeat itself until the entire area is full and with no seams.

Here is an example using your graphic...

The cheescake graphic would go between the <td> and </td> tags and be on top of the table background.

I can't make a .gif without the crappy edge to it.

.PNGs are the only thing that have a true transparency to them, but they are a pain to to get right with every browser. I followed a few tutorials, but wasn't happy wiht any of the results. Thats when I just decided to go with a .jpg and match it to the header color.

I like the site though. Simple and attractive. Not too much as to distract the customer. Makes me want cheescake right now.

Maybe a .wav upon loading of Homer Simpson saying Mmmmmm...cheescake. Im sure theres one out there. :sourcerer:
