PeteW1959
I purchased CubeCart for the first time a while back when CC5 was new, but didn't like any of the available skins, so I downgraded to 4. As CC4 is end of life, I am going to have to upgrade to CC5. However I have a skin for CC4 that isn't available for 5, so I want to try and tweak 5 before going live with it. Is it possible, both technically and in terms of licensing, to run the 2 versions alongside each other temporarily for development purposes? Robsta
You can install v5 in a sub directory, connecting to it's own database (not the v4 database). You don't have to upgrade to v5, there is no requirement. V4 will be supported via the third-party forum for as long as v4 is popular. PeteW1959
Will third-party forum support include security updates? I am a little concerned as my website has been hacked recently and my hosting provider said I should update to CC5.
Robsta
The final releases of v4 were pretty secure. I would doubt that v4 would have been the source of the hack unless you were not on the final release. You've not said what version of v4 you were on.
