DiscoDan
Hi I'm running Cubecart 5.2.10 and wanted to show more than 10 latest items on the homepage of the site. However, setting it to more than 10 makes no difference. Are latest items set by date or do they just appear as the last items added? Thanks
bsmither
Welcome DiscoDan! Glad to see you made it to the forums. When adding/editing a product, the setting: Include in latest products, has a red cross or green tick. Also, the setting: Status, has a red cross or green tick. These, combined with the general store setting: Number of 'Latest Products' to display, will determine the total number of items shown. The items to be shown are listed in reverse-chronological order of when they were entered into the inventory.
DiscoDan
Thanks for the response bsmither Could I speed the process by using a sql query based on date to update that flag?
bsmither
Yes. phpMyAdmin will work. Also, in CubeCart admin, Maintenance, Query Database tab. UPDATE `CubeCart_inventory` SET `featured` = '1' WHERE `date_added` > '2014-01-01';
