Currency sign not showing

Hi, setting up a new shop, and its solely for Bangladeshi consumers, so i need BDT ( Local currency ) to be available and default currency. However, even after adding it the sign isnt showing anywhere, the currency itself is showing and can be used but not the sign .. à§³ .. any help is appreciated :) .. thanks

I have trouble with this as well, and I do not know where the problem is, exactly.

 

When I look at admin, Currencies, there are several that do not properly show the correct symbol, but rather the non-utf equivalent (three character sequence that generally starts with å).

 

Even when I copy/paste the taka character in my editor, all I get is code x3F (a question mark). But my browser will show it, as the following is from Wikipedia:

The currency sign is encoded in Unicode at U+09F3 ৳ bengali currency sign (HTML: ৳).

 

Try in the admin, Currencies editor, use ৳ instead of the actual symbol.
