Dirty Butter
Customer wrote asking for help finding a product they had previously bookmarked. They kept getting a message that it was redirecting in such a way as to never complete. When I changed to v6 I chose to make all pages https:// which means the url of the save product listing of hers should have redirected to the secure version. I tested an http:// address for an existing product and got the same error message. What do I need to change in my .htaccess file to fix this? (I do NOT use the www in our site url.) On another matter - can I get rid of some of the old stuff? It's been a LONG time since v4! ## File Security <FilesMatch ".(htaccess)$"> Order Allow,Deny Deny from all </FilesMatch> #### Apache directory listing rules #### DirectoryIndex index.php index.htm index.html IndexIgnore * #### Rewrite rules for SEO functionality #### <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On ######## START v4 SEO URL BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY ######## RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (.*)$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule cat_([0-9]+)(.[a-z]{3,4})?(.*)$ index.php?_a=category&cat_id=$1&%1 [NC] RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (.*)$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule prod_([0-9]+)(.[a-z]{3,4})?$ index.php?_a=product&product_id=$1&%1 [NC] RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (.*)$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule info_([0-9]+)(.[a-z]{3,4})?$ index.php?_a=document&doc_id=$1&%1 [NC] RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (.*)$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule tell_([0-9]+)(.[a-z]{3,4})?$ index.php?_a=product&product_id=$1&%1 [NC] RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (.*)$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule _saleItems(.[a-z]+)?(?.*)?$ index.php?_a=saleitems&%1 [NC,L] ######## END v4 SEO URL BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY ######## RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !=/favicon.ico RewriteRule ^(.*).html?$ index.php?seo_path=$1 [L,QSA] </IfModule> The domain .htaccess has this section to deal with redirects. Eduard J
Hi, I'm trying to move from V4 to V6 so far what I come up with is this : //Rewrite to www Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^yourdomain.com[nc] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.yourdomain.com/$1[r=301,nc] Let me know if it helped. Dirty Butter
Turns out my issue was not the .htaccess file at all. I had not changed the "Standard Store url" on the SEO tab to the https:// version. Hadn't even noticed that needed changing.
bsmither
Probably is this issue: Github #612. There is a problem with CubeCart gracefully dealing with a SEF URL that does not or no longer exists.
