bsmither
I'm concerned that the email settings from the version of CubeCart you upgraded from has not carried over to Cubecart 6.

havenswift-hosting
SO HOW CAN I FIX IT? So specifically what settings do you have for each email setting - if they are blank as you show then you need to set them ! Ian

havenswift-hosting
Hi The settings"look" OK but obviously we have no way of telling whether the password that you entered is correct, the outgoing mailserver is correct (looks OK), the port is what is configured on your hosting server for outgoing SMTP email (25 is normal for insecure SMTP connections but others can be used) or even that your server requires authentication although that is almost always required. Any of the above points being wrong would stop email being sent - you need to check these details and also get support from your hosting company Ian
JoshuaH
my server blue host uses port 26 it wasn't working with 26 so i switched it to 25 in cubecart v5 i use to use port
havenswift-hosting
If your server uses port 26 then you HAVE to use 26 in the CubeCart settings ! If it still isnt working then there are additional problems, but randomly changing settings and expecting it still to work, is unlikely to produce results. You will need to check other settings and then get some support from your hosting company Ian
JoshuaH
i am receiving all my emails from my server just the ones from cubecart are not coming through also the setting for Order status for admin email notifications is set as pending like before
havenswift-hosting
i am receiving all my emails from my server just the ones from cubecart are not coming through If you have a customer in your system, are you able to send / receive a password reset email ? If you are able to receive emails that are sent from the same email address then all that proves is that you have the settings entered correctly in your email client. Sending emails via SMTP from within CubeCart works perfectly (with or without SSL) so I will repeat it is your settings that are likely wrong. You will need to get support from your hosting company to see if emails are actually being sent (and not received) or whether the SMTP login process to send them is failing Ian
bsmither
A telnet test using port 25 and another test using port 26 both succeeded. 220-box485.bluehost.com ESMTP Exim 4.82 #2 Fri, 27 Mar 2015 15:57:46 -0600  However, MXToolbox.com reports: dns SOA Refresh Value is outside of the recommended range dns SOA Expire Value out of recommended range smtp Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner  When you upgraded to CC6, did BlueHost move you to another server box, one with a different IP address? At https://who.is/dns/thinkpcparts.com, the the SPF record has an IP address that does not match your server box IP address (50.87.17.41). v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:66.147.242.85 ?all But I don't know if this matters, nor do I know if this is appropriate for a shared server box. havenswift-hosting
dns SOA Refresh Value is outside of the recommended rangedns SOA Expire Value out of recommended rangeWhile these should be fixed they will not cause this type of issuesmtp Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner the the SPF record has an IP address that does not match your server box IP address (50.87.17.41).But I don't know if this matters, nor do I know if this is appropriate for a shared server box. Both of these are serious and will cause big problems. We are increasingly seeing multiple problems that are nothing to do with CubeCart but are down to poor hosting server setup - unfortunately pay peanuts and you will get monkeys !Ian

bsmither
Ok, so probably CubeCart would have sent emails from, like, a Newsletter test send. I guess we really should have had you make that test.
