ayz1 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Finally took the plunge today to update from V5 to V6. Tried to do it from admin and it said that it couldn't download the file so tried a manual update and it won't go past the first set up page. Anyone any ideas? Quote
Al Brookbanks Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Thats disappointing. The auto upgrader can't always work but the manual method should always work. Do you get an error message? Quote
ayz1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Don't get any error messages just doesn't respond when I click on the Continue button. Quote
Al Brookbanks Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Did you select to install or upgrade? Click upgrade which then goes green and the continue button should work. Quote
Al Brookbanks Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Hmm.. does the browser console log show you any errors? Maybe a JS file is being blocked by the server or is corrupt or something. Quote
ayz1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 I have absolutely no idea, sorry. I have done several V5 updates without any issue. Quote
ayz1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 This is in admin: WARNING: Your store appears to be using source code from 6.0.2 but the database is still at 5.2.12.Please complete the upgrade by running the setup process. I was running V5.2.16. Quote
Al Brookbanks Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 It will show that message if the setup process hasn't been run. You can skip setup if you run the following SQL commands instead.. https://github.com/cubecart/v6/blob/master/setup/db/upgrade/6.0.0.sql https://github.com/cubecart/v6/blob/master/setup/db/upgrade/6.0.2.sql .. or you can hire us to do it. I've actually upgraded quite a few stores successfully today. Quote
ayz1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 I've just gone to log in to our Cubecart account and it is saying log in with a verified PayPal account. What is all that about? I never needed a PayPal account to log on in the past. I'm getting more and more frustrated with this as the day goes on! Quote
Al Brookbanks Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 You have logged into the sellers area for developers who want to sell extensions in the CubeCart marketplace. What are you trying to do? The old customer area is at https://cp.cubecart.com Quote
ayz1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 I am assuming I have a load of support credits still standing as I paid for Cubecart several times in the past. I was wanting to log a suppot ticket. Quote
Al Brookbanks Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Possibly. I don't know what your login is. Quote
ayz1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Still have 40 credits so I have put a support ticket in. I love Cubecart and I do appreciate your support but at times it is sooooooo frustrating. Quote
Al Brookbanks Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Fixed via internal support ticket. I love Cubecart and I do appreciate your support but at times it is sooooooo frustrating. Tell me about it. Programming can be a brutal task sometimes. The development of CubeCart has been truly huge and painstaking at times. I don't know why your setup process wouldn't run. I did the upgrade manually with SQL queries. All should be fine now. Quote
ayz1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Many thanks Al. I do like to try and do things myself but sometimes (well most of the time if I'm honest) it is beyond me so thanks for the excellent support. Quote
Al Brookbanks Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 That's a pleasure I am pleased you are happy now. Quote
