LaughingHorse
I am having all sorts of issues with the shipping plug-ins.The USPS Shipping Module automatically defaults to Priority rather than displays all shipping methods when the shipping weight goes over a certain amount.I do have:First class,First class Parcel,& Priority Mail boxes ticked. Why is there no Express Mail (Now called "Priority Mail Express") available. Just the regular service. No special Sunday/Holiday, Flat rate, etc. There is:Express Mail Hold for PickupExpress Mail PO to AddresseeExpress Mail Flat-rate EnvelopePriority Mail Flat-rate EnvelopeExpress Mail Sunday/HolidayExpress Mail Flat-Rate Envelope Sunday/HolidayExpress Mail Flat-Rate Envelope Hold For PickupWhen will the name be changed to reflect what the Post office calls it on their web site "Priority Mail Express"The main issue for me, is to stop it from defaulting and not showing anything other than Priority Mail when it gets to a certain weight. And not showing Express as a choice.Additionally, I have the plug-ins for FedEx and UPS installed. But Neither is showing up as a shipping choice.FedEx has activeAccount NumberAccount PasswordAccount KeyMeter NumberOn the UPS Plugin there is no place to add an account password and account number. Dirty Butter
If you go to the USPS.com site and try out your given weights, you will see that Express is now a joke - barely, if at all, faster than Priority - with no mention of weekend deliveries. Also, if the package weight is over 13 oz, the PO counts it as a pound. And they've done away with Parcel Post, so it jumps from First Class to Priority. At least there is still a Parcel rate for International.I have never used anything but USPS, so hopefully someone else can help with that soon. Dirty Butter
I checked a toy I knew was at least a pound, and I get a Priority Mail Express choice.https://dirtybutter.com/plushcatalog/2000-animal-alley-super-soft-white-pink-lying-down-dog.html
bsmither
The USPS module uses CubeCart's Request class, and by doing that, a record of the rate request and reply is logged in the admin's Request log. Please let us see what was submitted in the request, and the complete reply. bsmither
Also, the Fedex module code has trigger_error() statements when something goes wrong or is unexpected. Those messages should appear in admin, System Log, System Error Log tab.The UPS module uses the Request class, so there should be rate requests and replies from UPS in the Request log as well. LaughingHorse
@ Dirty Butter - "If you go to the USPS.com site and try out your given weights, you will see that Express is now a joke - barely, if at all, faster than Priority - with no mention of weekend deliveries. "Doesn't matter. That should be the customer's choice of how they want their order to ship, whether it makes sense to us or not. "Also, if the package weight is over 13 oz, the PO counts it as a pound. And they've done away with Parcel Post, so it jumps from First Class to Priority."Not necessarily. You can still ship using Parcel post or First Class. [see attached]And the options I have available to me in the USPS plugin [see attached]Â Â

Dirty Butter
I DO have the Express Mail Sunday/Holiday checked. Try a 14oz package, and Parcel is Unavailable Aggh! I'm so used to looking just at the Commercial rate, I didn't even SEE the other. I just tried a 14oz package from Alabama to California, shipped on Friday afternoon. Priority Mail Express would arrive Tuesday afternoon. We had this very scenario come up last Friday. Someone on vacation wanted to know if they could get a blankie (they had left at home) by the next day. It was going to take so long and be so expensive they decided to deal with the situation in some other way. LaughingHorse
I hate it when stuff like that costs sales. And I'm positive we lost some sales due to people wanting to use Parcel, but it not being available. With the Express Mail Sunday/Holiday checked, does that give you the full Priority Mail "Express" option in the choices? In looking at the Request log, it seems to be finding all the services but only showing Priority regular. bsmither
"Why is there no Express Mail (Now called "Priority Mail Express") available. Just the regular service."In analyzing the request/response from USPS, I see:<Service>ALL</Service>: This telling USPS to fetch a rate for every service the USPS provides, given the parameters of the package.Of the services USPS will provide to you for this package, there are various Priority Mail Express, various Priority Mail, Media Mail, and Library Mail options. Now, CubeCart will go through this list of delivery services returned by the USPS and filter out any that the store admin has not enabled.I see you have enabled: First Class, Priority Mail, and perhaps you are wanting Priority Mail Express. We know the USPS is offering Priority Mail Express. We need to figure out why CubeCart does not recognize USPS's CLASSID for Priority Mail Express.Be back shortly.

bsmither
"Still no First Class Parcel"I said, "Of the services USPS will provide to you for this package...." Apparently, for some reason about how you describe this package, USPS is not offering you First Class Parcel -- either the weight (2 pound, 4 ounce), the distance (Zone4), not machineable, or something else. Also, we may want to think about having CubeCart remove the 2-Day and 1-Day phrases. This is an estimate only provided by USPS on how many days USPS will have the package in transit. There are clueless customers out there who will think that you, the store owner, are promising one or two day delivery from the date the order is placed. bsmither
"Also, is there a way to choose which shipping method shows first?"CubeCart is coded to show the least expensive shipping option as the "preferred selected" shipping option - regardless of how or by who. There have been solutions developed to show all shipping options as a series of radio buttons, or to show nothing and have the initial selection show as "--Please Select--" (accepting a shipping choice is required).I have yet to actually see the CC605 new "estimated shipping" that CubeCart displays to a customer. So, I do not know how either of these alternate solutions will affect that new feature.
LaughingHorse
I've had customers complain because when it says "Estimated time 2 Days"Â and then they don't get it for 3 or 4 days contact us complaining saying we are cheating them. Dirty Butter
My last straw was when someone from across the country wanted their money refunded because it wasn't there in the number of days the PO had said. Bsmither helped me get the days part off. I'll try to find that thread.
LaughingHorse
The only thing I can think of regarding the First Class Parcel Post is that maybe it's because I can't create a label for that on line.To ship that way, I have to either use a service like Pitney Bowes or Stamps.comI'm going to try enabling the regular Parcel post and see what happens. Be right back with you on that.
LaughingHorse
@ Dirty Butter, I will appreciate that. I think if it says "Estimated" that will be fine. I still wish there was a way to add signature required at a $ certain level, and insurance added at a $ certain level that I would choose.
