Steven78 Posted August 30, 2015 Share Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) This is my first install of CubeCart, I installed it locally first and noticed that when I clicked on login or a product, it doesn't actually take me to those pages. The URL changes, but the page doesn't, is this just CubeCart be default? Is there something I'm missing that I need to do or should have done to configure it properly?I have setup another install on a spare domain I have just to see if it was my local server config but I get the same thing live - http://www.centrenetsolutions.co.uk/I just doesn't work like the demo at all - https://demo.cubecart.com/cc6/ - like clicking through to a new page just doesn't seem to work for me.Any idea why this is happening? CubeCart creates the correct .htaccess file (for Apache) and places it where it needs to be, but it is up to the web server administrator to make sure the web server in use can understand that .htaccess file.The CubeCart developers have decided that CC6 will use only "search engine friendly" URLs, which require the web server to be able to rewrite those URLs to a more PHP friendly format. CubeCart 5 still has the option to not use "search engine friendly" URLs.If you use this style of URL:www.centrenetsolutions.co.uk/?_a=product&product_id=1you will get to that product page.So, please examine the configuration of your web server and determine if and how NGINEX can be directed to rewrite URLs.Your current NGINEX web server configuration may be set so that if the document requested (/test-category/test-product.html) does not actually exist, then serve the default document (index.php) instead of a 404. I'll have to have a chat with my hosts I guess as all their servers run NGINX, I was running it on my vagrant machine because naturally my live server does as well.
