Dirty Butter
Is there any plan to use a newer Foundation version in CC 6.1? Not really understanding what is involved, does this mean only the skin changes, or does it mean major changes - like the changes from v4 to v5 to v6 were? bsmither
Foundation by Zurb is only a javascript/css powered skin. Like any skin for CubeCart, as long as the variables get populated properly by CubeCart, and there are variables in the skin for CubeCart to populate, it works. Al Brookbanks
I'd like to do this and make other improvements such as the use of SVG instead of Font Awesome. I think we can afford to hire now so hopefully we can move forward faster.
Dirty Butter
Thanks for the reply, Al. There's a lot being said about how improved Foundation 6.2 is over v5 - mostly terminology that I've never even heard of before - so I guess I start giving myself a kindergarten education in some of these new concepts being touted in v6. Al Brookbanks
I don't think upgrading is immediately simple.
Dirty Butter
That's what I figured - sounds like a completely foreign language to someone like me LOL. But if it's somewhere on the "distant" horizon for CC, then I have reason to pay attention to it.
Dirty Butter
Zurb is up to 6.2.3 now, and it still looks completely foreign to me.
bsmither
For a different project, I started with Foundation for Email. It had the template layout I needed, even though it wasn't going to be used for emails. That was a mistake. Then I went for Foundation for Sites 6 using the News template. The most elementary of experiments went horribly awry. Finally settled for Foundation 5.5.3 but still using the News template. And, like most things, their documentation Sucks. Hard. Horribly. Dirty Butter
LOL You make me feel better! If YOU can't use it intuitively, I don't have a chance.
