Brian T
Hi. I've an mp4 I'd like to have playing on the front page of my website instead of the fixed graphic I have there. Is this possible? Many thanks www.mentalstarters.co.uk

Brian T
Thanks - I've managed to use the code in the first link (although it seems to replicate the code a number of times in the source code on the website even though I only type it in once). Also, for some reason, it won't let me centre the video on the page. I'll keep trying.
ayz1
The Silk browser on the Kindle does not support autoplay so may be worth taking another look at that. It is just showing a black screen as it is.
Brian T
It was having some problems with the code with the controls on it. I'm confused as to how the code for that page keeps replicating itself as well - I've not sorted that yet. Any clues anyone please ?
ayz1
One solution may be to put the video on youtube and then embed it in your webpage. You can set it to auto start and the video will show in the kindle (though won't auto start). It will also play in all other browsers I would guess. Also you won't be using your own bandwidth to run the video.
Dirty Butter
I've had better success with my Kindle since I added Silk to the user agent array.
Brian T
It's proving a lot more difficult that I thought solving this. I can't work out still why the short code in ayz1's link keeps copying itself multiple times in the code window
bsmither
"the code window" Do you mean the Rich Text Editor used to compose the Welcome page, other Site Documents, Product Descriptions, and Category Descriptions? If so, the RTE can be used to compose in two modes: visual and source. Which mode are you using when you enter the code? And what, exactly, are you entering? Right now, I just see <iframe> code.
