G Dubyah
My product previews have orphans, any idea how to fix it ?
Dirty Butter
Picturesque way to put it, but can you show a screenshot so we understand exactly what the issue is?
G Dubyah
Note how the words are cut off in the previews
bsmither
This is the View Category page. It shows ten or so products per page for a selected category (or search results or sale items). The textual content seen with each product is actually that product's description (admin, Add/Edit Product, Description tab). When managing a product, the Description tab gives you two editors: the (Complete) Description, and the Short Description. There is one other admin setting to take note of: Store Settings, Layout tab, "Length of product precis". When CubeCart is assembling details about the product, the question is asked, "Is there a specific Short Description?" If so, CubeCart will use it in its entirety. (Thus the need to keep it short.) If not, then the question is, "What is the size of the product precis, and how long is the length of the Complete Description?" If longer than the precis, then truncate the description to that point. If not, then use the whole description. But the description, in whole or in part, will be stripped of all HTML tags (making it look plain and not able to disturb the surrounding area). G Dubyah
I wondered what that short description was for ... DOH!
Dirty Butter
I don't use the short description on our plushcatalog, but took the truncate code off.
