jasehead
Is there any way to merge two customers? For example: a customer had 5 previous orders but had difficulty remembering their password so, instead of updating their password, they created a new login with a different e-mail address and password but all other details remain the same - only 1 new order for the new account. I was thinking this could be done in phpMyAdmin by searching for the new customer ID and replacing it with the original (or the other way around, depending on which one you wanted to keep). Suggestions? Ideas? Unseen issues?
bsmither
Depends if the customer has finally remembered their password of the earlier account -- and has a good reason to not have used the "Forgot Password" feature (like, they have a new email and do not have access to the old one - a situation is easily fixed by the admin). Just the CubeCart_addressbook, CubeCart_customer_membership, CubeCart_newsletter_subscriber, CubeCart_openid (no longer used), CubeCart_reviews, CubeCart_order_summary, CubeCart_saved_cart, and Cubecart_downloads has the customer_id that would need to be changed to whichever customer record you end up using.
