Google Merchant Center Feed New Rules

Hi there

I'm having a bit of a nightmare with Google Merchant Center where they are disapproving all of my items due to a few of them not being approved my there policy. In order for them to approve all my items they would like the non policy items to be removed from the feed. This is a new thing this month as for the last 7 years those products have been disproved and had no effect on the rest of the products.

My feed is automated for stock and price every morning.

Is there anyway to stop certain products from being on the automated feed without removing them from the website?

Many thanks

I actually just wrote a solution similar to this for another one of my customers, however for their store they wanted to prevent items being sent in the google feed based on the category.

If you need a commercial solution to this issue, I am happy to help. I can produce a way for you to toggle these items on/off in your feed. I would also recommend looking at the Havenswift google feed module as it's vastly better than the free one.

@havenswift-hosting, it might be nice to add the product exclusion to your module as a new feature?

I had to re-word the titles of several listings because I use the word "muzzle" to designate the mouth area of a stuffed animal. It hit their rules against firearms! And for a while they were banning our used toys because I have the brand in the title (of course) - called it copyright infringement. I complained about the brand thing and got around the firearms thing by taking the word out of the title, but leaving it in the description.

Good luck getting this straightened out! I left eBay because they wanted too much control - now I feel like I'm in the same situation with Google. :(
