Server Name of SQL Database

Recommended Posts

I'm still using Excel 2003. So, how any other version of Excel makes a connection to a database server, I don't know.

I would think the "Server Name" would be what CubeCart calls the "Database Host". That could be the network's "friendly" name of the server, such as "BadWolfBox" or "Aisle3Rack4Shelf6". Or, if the server is on the same computer as is Excel, then maybe "localhost". Or the actual IP Address or domain name.
