Product Weight & Cost Variants (Radio or Drop Down Selector)

Newbie. Tried to search this out and have failed in the search. Would greatly appreciate assistance.

Have three (3) products in our store that have two (2) different sizes (weights specifically) & therefore two (2) different costs.

How do I set this up so I have one (1) product page with a drop down selector that will automatically apply the cost and weight to the cart.

Product A (2 lbs): $9.00

Product A (12 lbs): $21.00

Welcome lifegrains! Glad to see you made it to the forums.

The process is to make Product Options. We will call the Option Group "Size". Make it Required. Once we have Saved this new Option Group, we then create Option Attributes for Size. Enter "2 lbs", click the white-plus-in-green-circle, enter "12 lbs", click the white-plus-in-green-circle, then Save.

We now have an Option we can associate to the product.

On the Edit Product screen, Options tab, from the Add New Option drop-down selector, choose "Size: 2 lbs", enter 9.00 (do not use a currency symbol) for Price and check the Absolute box, and enter 9.00 for weight. Click the white-plus-in-green-circle. Do another for 12 lbs. Save.

Examine the storefront product's page to check the presence of these options.

The product's price will be dynamically updated when options are chosen. There will be some confusion about the base price until an option is selected. CubeCart manages the final cost and weight when added to the cart.
