jka
So, I was surprised to receive a confirmation email just now from the system, It says on the top "STORE LOGO" in a nice font and big. This is new to me. So, I went ahead and uploaded our eps file from the design and now it overpowers and covers half the page in an odd way. Any input on the size of or length x width of this logo file? Can we do this as a banner? Thanks.
bsmither
In admin, Email Templates, Email Templates tab, click the Edit icon for Default Emails. On the next screen, on the HTML Content tab, switch the editor to Source mode. This HTML has a table inside a table. The inner table has a width of 580 pixels. The top row has the image. Depending what you use to view HTML emails, this image will either be contained within the 580 pixels, or will overflow it. So, we suggest creating a JPG or PNG from your EPS, sized at 550 px wide, and assigning that to Emails. To make the assignment, in admin, Store Settings, Logos tab, use the Upload Logo button to send an appropriately sized JPG or PNG, then in the Scope selector, choose Email Templates. jka
Thanks. I have uploaded a 550px logo file now. Any chance, how we can test the email templates? Also I cant seem to find the Invoice templates.
Dirty Butter
Is this what you want? admin/skins/default/templates/orders.print.php
bsmither
Invoice "templates" are not editable as is most everything else. The "Receipt" that the customer sees in their Account, Order History, is in your skin folder, the template print.receipt.php. The "packing slip" the admin prints to ship the order is in the admin skin folder, the template orders.print.php. There is no direct way of making a test email (other than testing the Mailer, which emails a very simple plain text message). However, in Newsletters, Create Newsletter tab (gives a new screen), create a simple test newsletter, using for the Template, the "Default Emails" template. Once the newsletter is composed (no need to Save first), go to the "Send Test Email" tab. There, you can send this newsletter somewhere.
