Noodleman
you could probably use this:https://www.cubecart.com/extensions/shipping-methods/link-cubecart-products-to-specific-shipping-services-/-modules Would need a more detailed example to review to confirm Edited April 3, 2017 by Noodleman
henryluiz
if product code FG or SW or SL and posted to New South Wales cost would be $50 if product code DSW and posted to New South Wales cost would be $65 shipping would need to look for product code starting with a FG or SW or SL or DSW check against list of County code for Australia on the billing address and add the postage rate as per above table. Is this the info u need
Noodleman
Ok, so you want to use product code prefixes, not a product with the actual product code "FG" or "SW". It can probably be done using a modified version of the All in One shipping module. There might be an off the shelf module out there which will do this, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
henryluiz
Hi Yes product prefex eg FG-606.XX or SW-XXXX What would the cost be to develop a mod to do this?
henryluiz
to add if the product code is any other code the message must be displayed on cart saying "Please call for shipping cost" any feedback on cost to develop this mod
Noodleman
I can probably do it in an hour or two, so would estimate £25 - £50 range. However, I wouldn't be able to start it for a while as I've got a backlog of other items that I must finish first.

henryluiz
Hi Noodleman Thank you for responding. Please could you proceed with the shipping rate table mod. How do I pay you I have attached a sample of the rate table. The cart must use the product code prefix eg GF-xxxx or DSW-xxx and County in the billing address to lookup the table for the rate. If there is no match for product code then a message must be displayed on the cart "Please phone for shipping quote" Let me know if you need any further info and do u have an estimate time. Noodleman
Hi Henry, can you open a support ticket via my support portal, https://www.noodleman.co.uk/support As I said a few days ago, I won't be able to start this for a while as I've other items to wrap up for people first. We can iron out the details via the support ticket. It's likely I won't be able to consider starting this for at least a month
henryluiz
Hi Noodleman Thanks for the prompt reply. I wish I had the knowledge to do this myself...but scared I could break something..... Before I get back to my client (on the month delivery), could u recommend any one else to develop the mod.
Noodleman
you may want to try reaching out to CubeCart directly via the support services. It's possible they would be willing to rework the module for you.

henryluiz
Hi Noodleman how is your schedule going.... Still looking for someone to develop this mod......if there are no takers I will need to consider other options.
Noodleman
Morning Henry, My schedule is improving, but not yet clear. I am close to completing a large project which is consuming most of my time. once that is out of the way I have a collection of smaller items to work on for people, including this request for you. If I am lucky, I will complete the larger project by the end of next week and can start working on the smaller items in the queue in a couple of weeks.
