Adding Manufacturers to Invoice

Hi,

Just wanting some advice on what and where the mods are needed to add manufacturer details next to each individual product. Happy to do a hack and fix it at each time I update.

Thanks in advance.

Also just a couple of notes - I am using retail therapy skin and not all products will have manufacturer details.

Hi Stami

Try a free 7 day trial of our Enhanced Manufacturer plugin https://www.cubecart.com/extensions/plugins/enhanced-manufacturers as it adds a lot of extra functionality but if you find there is anything else you want added, let me know.  As you are using our Retail Therapy skin, any skin changes are alrfeady included !

Could you add {$product.manufacturer} to the invoice template.

Don't quote me on this, as it's only an idea.

In Email Templates >> Cart Order Confirmed >> HTML Content

Switch to source

Find

<!--{foreach from=$PRODUCTS item=product}-->
        <tr>
            <td>{$product.name}<br />

Change to:

<!--{foreach from=$PRODUCTS item=product}-->
        <tr>
            <td>{$product.name} &nbsp; {$product.manufacturer}<br />

Hi Ian.. I had a look at it and it does make the manufacturers option a lot more versatile but it doesn't allow me to display the manufacturers on the printed invoice against each individual product.

I tried this but no luck as I am trying to get it onto the printable invoice.

I'm just trying this on one of my quiet sites and you're right, it was a long shot.

I do recall at some point in the past wanting something similar, but for the life of me can't recall what.

There must be something somewhere which converts cubecart_inventory.name to $product.name.

If I could figure out where, then I guess it's possible to do the same for cubecart_inventory.manufacturer
