Christopher Short
I'm having customer login issues.... I set up a account, when I tried to sign in to place an order, I get an error, Invalid username or password. I have 3 customers in a row with the same issue. Running the most recent version, any ideas?
bsmither
If this just started, we should look first to determine if your hosting provider did anything. But, if you are able to log in to your admin, and stay logged in, then we can probably rule out session persistence issues.
Christopher Short
Just now, bsmither said: If this just started, we should look first to determine if your hosting provider did anything. When I go from admin and login as a customer, it doesn't login but takes me to the site home page. Christopher Short
I repaired the crashed table. How do I fix the time zone issue?
bsmither
A crashed table. Yup, that will also cause problems. But I haven't heard of crashed tables for quite a while. The timezone thing can be fixed only by the database server's technical support crew. If you are your own server environment admin, then there is the task of loading a server database system table with data often found in a Linux system file. If Windows, there are timezone files one can fetch from numerous places. There are instructions aplenty on how to load the system table to be found on the internet. A MySQL table can very (very) rarely crash for no discernable reason (it is generally a faulty block on the disk or an issue somewhere else with the hosting either hardware or software. The main reason you get a crashed table and this especially affects the session table in CubeCart, is if the MySQL server was not shut down correctly usually because of a server crash. 16 hours ago, bsmither said: The timezone thing can be fixed only by the database server's technical support crew. It is simple to do either by yourself if (as Brian says) you have admin / root access to the server but also by your hosting company (although many refuse for no good reason) and has been covered in many threads on here in the last few weeks
