AdamR Posted May 19, 2019 Share Posted May 19, 2019 Hi all, We're using the sequential order number module which in part seems to be ok, however, the numbers jump by hundreds in the space of a few hours, 753 between two orders. What's causing it, i'm not getting loads of stale orders. Is there some way to generate the order number once they click the payment gateway option? Dirty Butter Posted May 20, 2019 Share Posted May 20, 2019 I occasionally have what must be what you call "stale orders". This weekend I had 4416, 0750, and 4418. It rarely happens, but sure does look odd. Do you use any kind of pre or post fix? I use year-shop abbreviation-number. These "stale" ones do have the correct pre-fixes on mine. There are two orders, on at 00:17 order number 39505 and 6 hours later the next order is 40258. What's causing these massive jumps, that's what i'd like to know.
