I have been trying to add Google Analytics to website, but I keep getting an error - Sitemap can be read, but has errors Sitemap is HTML (First line of source code does have HTML in it.) I tried researching what to do - said something about disabling cache, rebuild, then resubmit, but that was for WP sites. Anyone have any ideas or does anyone else have this problem? Lastwolf Posted August 14, 2020 Share Posted August 14, 2020 Have you tried rebuilding the sitemap Dashbord > Mainteneance > Rebuild Bottom option I had an issue with the CHMOD settings on the home folder where it wasn't actually writting the sitemap. augustmoon Posted August 14, 2020 Author Share Posted August 14, 2020 Thank you so much for your reply. I feel real dumb right now. I had done the rebuild and resubmitted it. But was getting the same error, but today I figured out I wasn't giving them the whole path. Thought they (bots) found what they needed if you give them the website address.
