Problem with buying.

Hi,

I was trying to "buy" a product after logging in as myself and giving myself a 100% discount coupon.

Everything w, I mean under a different name and email address than the one I use to manage CC.

I truly hope someone can helpment fine until I decided to go to the checkout.

When I did, the Cart system started going round in circles (just an endless loop), and strangely enough, so did my admin page at the same time.

I cleared my cache (I always do in CC after making any changes) in my browser and tried again, surprise, surprise, no change.

I had tried before ordering something using Paypal, and it worked, giving me the message I could not log into my own Paypal account, a sure sign it had worked.

By the way, to take away any doubts: when I say "I logged in as myself", I mean with a different name and email address than the ones I use for managing CC.

I truly hope someone can help me, it will be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

An update: First of all, I see that the forum turned my post in half Chinese in some places, this often happens, while posting, your cursor disappears and dumps your text in another place.

Now for the update itself, it also happens that CC throws a 503 error at me after a long wait.

Has anyone got any suggestions or solutions?

I can't keep waiting to make my shop go live, if not, my only solution will be to ditch CC and look elsewhere.

What good is an E-shop that doesn't work?

Hi

Never seen any problems with the forum like that and nobody else has reported it as far as I am aware - maybe a browser issue at your end ?

A 503 error is almost always down to problems with the server that your site is hosted on - usually overloaded.  As far as the other problems, there isnt really enough information to give any sort of educated guess - it could be down to any number of things, but tens of thousands of users use CubeCart in varying sized stores including many that take hundreds of orders an hour so the product itself (mostly always) works

Thank you, haveswift hosting.

I normally use Chrome (always up to date), I tried Edge now, same result.

I wonder if this gives anything away:

By "going around in circles", do you mean the browser was instructed to go to some other page, and that page instructed the browser to go back to the first page, and it ping-ponged continuously?

It seems at some point things settled down so that you could copy the contents of the debug panel.

You mentioned a 503 error. If you are being hosted, your hosting provider might be able to learn why your site was throwing that error.

Your domain is reported and blocked by several malware detection systems !

A 503 error as I said is almost always due to low server resources and is nothing to do with CubeCart - are you on cheap hosting ?

Try installing and using the Print Order payment gateway and if that works then place an order and actually pay for it rather than trying to fool it with a 100% discount voucher - that is not real life.

However, I dont believe this is anything to do with CubeCart

No, I only meant that the wheel of the refresh icon next to the address bar kept spinning indefinitely.

Should have been a bir clearer there.

Reported where?

My hosting company?

How did you find out?

I know the 100% discount is not real life, I only did it as a test.

Nevertheless, thank you for your help so far.

That can be caused by multiple reasons but again, poor quality hosting with slow servers is common which then causes the 503

Hi folks,

to everyone who replied:

I did find some useful tips among your answers.

You might remember me saying an ordinary Paypal buy worked OK, well, the coupon worked OK too, except for the 100% discount one.

I made a 20% discount coupon yesterday and that went through immediately.

The only problem I have now is what people said here about the shop being blocked by anti malware programs.

I always check my files (all of them made by me) thoroughly before uploading, there are only three types: MP3, PDF and ZIP.

As I said: none of them are third party or downloaded, I make them all myself, so I wonder how they could become infeted.

Wondering if anyone could drop a hint.

Thank you.

Some more research turns up this page: The Top 10 Worst TLDs (changes daily)
https://www.spamhaus.org/statistics/tlds/

It seems one is to suffer from guilt by association. Your domain ends with .ml

Apparently, you can petition MalwareBytes to whitelist your site:

It is possible that the files arent infected (although this can happen) - as the screen grab shows (and BSmither has pointed out) the message indicates that MalwareBytes (and others) dont like your top level domain extension !
