Adding menu items to the top of the screen

I am currently using v 6.4.2.  I would like to add a couple of menu selections to the top of my homepage next to the Login/Register menu item but can't find the file to edit.  Is it possible to do this.  I need to offer my customers access to different pages from the homepage.

Start by looking at the skin template main.php.

Find:

{include file='templates/box.session.php'}

The template box.session.php, shown on pads and wider screens, is where the links to the login/register and the logged-in customer's profile pages are.

You will find a similar list of links in box.off_canvas.left.php that gets shown when viewing on a mobile device.
