All in One Shipping - not all zones seen in basket

Hi All,

I am new to the cube-cart user team(s) and so please forgive me if my Q is rather self stupidity rather than reasonable.

After installing All in one shipping & selecting postage options by weight of basket, I set up my selling zones & being a shop for a military association, we have members across the globe.

So my issue, hypothetically, I live in Australia, i add a tie to my basket (non shop member) and go to basket to check out, but the only postage options available to me are either collect from store or UK 1st class options. I cannot see any options for the areas of EU / Canada or Australia.

Have I missed something?

thanking you in advance

Jonny

CubeCart has had the feature where, at checkout, there is a link for non-signed-in customers ('guests') to specify a delivery address. (Needs to be enabled in admin, Store Settings.)

Until CubeCart has a customer-specified delivery address, it will use the store's address as a 'best guess' delivery address. (So, I assume your store is in the UK?)

bs, had a look in settings and either i need to pop along to specsavers or maybe I need to look for a job that does not involve IT!!

any further advise of exactly where this checkbox for the link is would be most grateful.

just to confirm, i logged in as a customer and still only gives me uk options, but i expect that is because the system can see me as a uk customer based on my address, would you agree??

again thank you

In admin, Store Settings, Features tab, Misc section, "Disable initial shipping & tax estimates" there is a checkbox to hide the link that exposes a small form to refine the delivery address.

If you are logged in as a customer, the checkout pages should show a form asking for billing and delivery addresses if the customer has not already established addresses in their Address Book in their Profile pages.

Where does your "UK 1st Class" shipping option come from? Does it come from a shipping module other than the All-in-One-Shipping module?

In admin, Countries/Zones, please review all the countries you are willing to ship to has their status set as an Enabled option.

thank you for your advise, sadly by checking your suggestion within Misc, completely disables any postage option at checkout & UK customers like to see that before they checkout. 'WE LOVE A TOTAL BILL BEFORE WE PROCEED' . putting that aside, the UK 1st Class shipping option and the collection from store was all setup within ALL IN ONE SHIPPING, named it, added countries and then setup shipping costs as per UK Royal mail costs.

Will try and ask one of my customers in Canada to log in , add an item and see what shipping options he sees.

Again thank you so much for your input, I am most grateful.

For you, as a customer, you can add a foreign address to your Address Book (e.g., Australia, Canada, whatever), then, during checkout, choose that as your delivery address.

CubeCart should then ask the AIOS module to recalculate shipping charges based on the newly selected shipping zone.

It might also help to have the AIOS module's Debugging temporarily set to Verbose. This will cause some output to appear at checkout which will describe the logic involved in what was used to calculate the shipping charges. Keep the debugging enabled for only as long as necessary because this report is viewable by everyone - not that it contains sensitive info, but because it is not a common thing to see.

Understood, i shall add another address and see what it gives me.

it is somewhat frustrating as an admin one cannot just see the final output when testing. Maybe i should put this to ALL IN ONE SHIPPING for an update? again thanks mate, feel free to pop across the pond for a cold one, i live near sandbanks, google it :-))))) J

So my friend bs, i added two addresses to my personal online account, one in canada and one in the eu... and so when i went to the basket, on the RHS (delivery address) after selecting each one, it gave me the delivery options i set up within ALL IN ONE SHOPPING ...  so in essence, if you are within the UK / just fill your boots / if outside, then best to register to get delivery options for your country.

I must admit, i will need to email one of my past military friends living abroad to add something to their basket and then advise me what postage options is given to them within their basket.. I will endevour to relay the results to you ...

once again thanks for your assistance mate

Kind Regards

J
