PayPal Commerce OK for older versions of Cubecart 6?

Since April I've only had one on the 14th May. Stock is set to reduce on processing, customer purchased 4 items, one of which was the last, she went and paid but on return to my store was informed one of the items was no out of stock so she went and purchased the other 3 items again.

I can cope with one offs like that, just not the quantity we were having.

Just reporting back after my first big sales month (June) - I haven't noticed any duplicate payments using PayPal Commerce 1.9.5 but there have still been some duplicate orders being made by customers. The most recent customer said that she had trouble with PayPal accepting her credit card.

Can you tell me why I am seeing this in Cubecart's Order Transaction Log:

Payer Status: verified Recipient account didn't match specified PayPal account.

UPDATE: I've continued to install updates of the paypal_commerce plugin and still get the occasional double order, even with the latest version, so there is something up with the process.

One customer explained what led to two CubeCart orders and two PayPal payments (3 seconds apart):

"[The store] redirected to PayPal twice. Maybe that was it. The first time I logged on, then the second time when it asked me to confirm the order."

NOTE: paypal_commerce is also not being recorded properly in CubeCart_order_summary.gateway - half the time this is blank. For the customer above, the first order did not have the gateway recorded but the duplicate shows paypal_commerce.

Also +1 to Debyink's post above.  Another refund today for a customer who purchased an item (last one left), paid, returned to the store and was informed the item was out of stock so she placed another order for a different but similar item and paid again.

Customer confusion is costing money because of the PayPal fees.
