Guest ApproachingSilence Posted April 2, 2005 Share Posted April 2, 2005 Hi everyone, Perhaps this has already been covered somewhere on the board, but I couldn't find it. Hence my post. The situation is this: I managed to install and set-up CC3, but when I want to look at the results my browser gives me this error message: WARNING - Your store will not function until the install directory is deleted from the server. what does this mean and what do I do to get it to work properly? Guest Borisgoodenough Posted April 2, 2005 Share Posted April 2, 2005 Easy enough -- it wants you to safeguard your site by deleting the "install" directory on the server, making it more difficult for someone else to hack it. You can do that with your control panel's file manager or, what I prefer, just rename the install directory to something else obscure in case you need to do a reinstall or find you need access to one of the files.
