Issues with Flexibility

Hi, I've been searching for a PHP-driven cart with a bit more flexibility than is currently available with ZenCart. Specifically, I need to know if the templates can be bypassed leaving just the order consolidation feature. For example, out of the following list of shopping cart function:

• Store-front design
  
• Order consolidation
  
• Order submission
  
• Financial transaction
  
• Pricing and discounts
  
• Inventory adjustments
  

let's say that I only need order consolidation and submission using the product database from the backend.

Can I get to that directly or am I stuck with using the store-front design as well?

And, if I am still looking at the wrong software package, can someone point me in the right direction?
