Guest Posted July 5, 2005 Share Posted July 5, 2005 Every so often, when I try to update the homepage text, I get the following error: Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/labeshop/public_html/wholesale/language/en/home.inc.php on line 3 When this occurs, the site goes offline with every page displaying the error above. Apparently, the file is not getting re-written properly. The solution to this is to go thru FTP and rename the 1.26 KB or so home.inc.php to something like home.inc.php.dumb and then rename the larger home.inc.php.bak to home.inc.php. Then all will be well, though the editing you tried to make will be lost This seems to only be happening on the homepage. I haven't had it happen on any of the site docs I've edited.
