  1. Hi. I've had a new customer register their details. In CC Admin it's showing they have 1 order. There is nothing shown in the Order list and if I click on '1' order in the Customer list it says there is no orders in the database. I've got an email from the system with the order details. I use PayPal as the gateway but no money has been received.

So - question is how can I have an email from the CC system with the order details, but no order in the database? Can anyone help explain this? Is there someway that the customer can place an order and then cancel it?

    thanks

  2. Depends what you want to do. You can edit /skins/{skinname}/styleTemplate/global/index.tpl and move the boxes from one column to the other by moving {RANDOM_PROD} and {POPULAR_PRODUCTS} to where you want them.

Alternatively there are a few mods on cubecartforums.org that change the featured products, popular products & sale products. One of these might help.

  3. I've successfully moved site from one host another and everything is now working OK.

Except the search function. If you enter anything into the Search box, I get the error below. In this instance I searched for "mat"

    MySQL Error Occured

    1062: Duplicate entry '0' for key 1

    QUERY = INSERT INTO CubeCart_search (`searchstr`, `hits`) VALUES ('MAT', '1')

Any ideas on what's wrong ?

    thanks

  4. I'm in the middle of changing hosts as my last host had really bad Mysql access problems :)

Anyhow. the new host has given me a temporary login until the domain name is transferred over. I've copied and re-uploaded all of the CC3 store files. I've backed up & imported the Mysql database too. I've edited the config.inc file with all of the new data.

Now when loading the site from the new temporary location, everything is working EXCEPT the site doesn't display any of the image thumbnails for products and I can't access the Admin area. All of the categories & products are OK, the skin is loaded fine.

    This is the old site

and this is the new site

I was hoping to get it all working before the domain switches over. Anyone got any ideas what I've done wrong?

    thanks

    Nigel

  5. I've got 1 product already set-up with a range of options (colours & sizes).

I've now got a large number of new products to add to the site that all have exactly the same colours/size options associated - just the associated image is different. Is there a way of copying 1 product to another and maintaining the options associated with it ?

    thanks

  6. I've got 2 issues that I want to resolve so I can update to .18 version.

    1. just installed Xampp to copy a live version of CC3 to a local machine for testing. I've downloaded the entire site OK. If I put them into a relevant local area, is the config.inc file the only one I need to update to point to the local MYSQL file? Are there any other files I need to update?

    2. The MYSQL dbase has got a whole bunch of table in it from a previous install of another cart. I'd like to clear out the Dbase so ONLY the CC3 tables remain. Is there a list of all of the CC3 tables so I can identify and delete the ones that are not CC3 tables?

    thanks

    Nigel

  7. I did. They tell me there is no problem with the server.

When I try to access the site I get either

    MySQL Error Occured

    1040: Too many connections

    or

    MySQL Error Occured

    2005: Unknown MySQL server host 'mysqlxx.xxxx.xxx' (2)

I get the 1040 error message if I go via phpmyadmin too.

This is driving me nuts. I've had a site running for 6 months that worked fine, but it was HTML linked to a standard Paypal cart. I've switched it to CC3 on mySql and I'm getting loads of problems. I'm going to have to switch back to HTML ASAP as the CC3 cart is just not reliable.

Then I'm going to have to look for another host as my current one is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

  8. I'm getting different shipping charges CC3 and Paypal. Shipping amount looks fine in CC3 checkout, but when transferred to Paypal, the amount can be higher or lower.

I've tried the Paypal Standard & IPN Gateway and Estelle's PayPal MOD. I've getting the same error in both.

    Any ideas ?

  9. I've just finished converting my site from HTML to CC3. Ran some test orders and I'm getting both Packing & Shipping amounts added to an order.

I don't want packing, just shipping. I've set-up shipping via the Royal Mail module and all the Handling fees are set to Zero. Any ideas what I've done wrong and how to fix it?

Also If I remove Packing, what shows up when you view the order in CC Admin? At the moment it is showing the Packing amount & no shipping.

    thanks all.

  10. I've added a bunch of options to many of my products. Is there any way to set the default option and/or the sort order of the options?

    For example.

Clothing comes in a range of size - S/M/L/XL/XXL/XXXL.

In the option box it's listed Alphabetically - L/M/S/XL/XXL/XXXL

I want the sort order to be from S -> XXXL.

If I wanted XL to be the one that is default, is there any way to do this?

    thanks

  11. I use Streamlinenet for hosting 5 different sites. I've only started to have a problem since requesting MySQL access. Keeps timing out. I escalated it and they responded saying I needed to change the Hostname from the name to an IP address.

I'm just about to change it so will let you know if it makes any difference.

And on the subject of ownership. I checked and I am listed as the legal registrant & streamline as the registrar. That means I'm the legal 'owner' of the Domain names doesn't it?

  12. HI. I've installed CC3 onto my host server and configured it to suit. I've been getting more and more intermittant MySQL unspecified errors. I reported it to the hosting company and they say to change the hostname to an IP address should fix the problem.

Now I've installed CC3 - how can I change the hostname?

    thanks
