  1. Greetings,

     

    I am using CC v. 5.2.2>> Currently when a user enters their email address on my home page to sign up to receive my newsletter, no subscription confirmation email is sent to the user advising him that he has signed up.

     

    How can i make this happen? I've checked in the email content and templates with no success :( Please help

  2. @bsmither>> 1. Yes. I sent it from the Add Newsletter screen. I did this to test if emails could be sent out because i was not received order confirmation emails for test orders i placed earlier. Even when I marked such test orders as shipped, did i NOT get an order status change email (ie. Your order is Complete) as found in the email templates.

    2. I was not using SMTP while on the /dev folder

  3. @bsmither>> It's on a shared server with hostmonster.com. When I spoke to them last night, they confirmed the problem is not coming from them and they said that all the emails are recorded as sent on their logs but when they tried to send an email thesmselves they were surprised that the emails did not go out. They suggested that I replace cubcart, which i don't want to do. I know this function works because when I had the site on my /dev folder, the email send function worked fine.

    They do not have a policy of blocking port 25 (SMTP protocol). I've check my email SMTP configuration within the CMS and it's confirgured correctly to my hosts specs. Because i use SSL, I use port 465>>  Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) host247.hostmonster.com (server requires authentication) port 465

     

    Any insights?

  4. I'm using the latest v.5.2.2
     
    The cubecart mailing function isn't working for me. I've tried both PHPMailer and SMTP and not one of them is working. Also, when I try sending an email from the CMS (Admin Panel), CubeCart says ''Email Sent'' but the email doesn't go out. I know this because I don't receive it. Can anyone provide a solution?

    If not, can I use an external mailing script with Opencart to bypass this complication.

  5. Yes. i've checked there and there and one may appeal to me. However, the features of CC5 states that it comes with six (6) 100% Template Driven Skins Included (Smarty Engine). Is there any way i can see what these skins look like before I upgrade?

     

    Do you know of any sites already using them that i can look at?

     

    I'm not looking for a custom creation, just slight modifications to an existing skin

    I've spent hours searching for CC5 skins that I can marry to my CC5 backend to no avail.

    I've googled CC5 skins/ templates and its really slim pickings and I dont like most of them. Can anyone suggest a site that offers numerous CC5 skins to choose from?

    Forgive me if a dumb question, but can a CC4 skin work with CC5 backend? Just asking in case I dont find a suitable CC5 skin and must then use a CC4.

     

    My current backend is CC3 and i want to upgrade to CC5

     

  7. I want to use ClixGalore for my affiliate marketing and need to know if it is compatible with CubeCart v.4.

    I checked the ClixGalore website for shoping cart compatiblity and CubeCart is not mentioned. Would a customized modification be necessary to integrate CubeCart v.4 with ClixGalore?
