ok i changed what it said needed to be changed. and it didnt work so i tried to take the file from my downloaded version of 5.1.0 and over right the files back to where they should be and now it wont do it. what it does is write over the file and show its been over written and the when i click back to it, it is back to the way it was and i cant figure out why it wont change with the original files. the files are js/common.html and is 398, the original is 402. i think its the same for the /public_html/admin/skins/default/templates/main.php but is 5kb just as the original file is 5kb. heres the errors i am getting now. it will not let me add anything to the site or delet e an . when i goto add something to the site it take me to the home page. i am trying to create and order for a call in. the create order option is not working. it wont add anything or update as i try to type the stuff in. also when i have multiple items for sale say 1- at $2.00 and 12 at 1.5 i cannot delete the 12 at 1.5 or the 1 at $2.00 . it says undefined and gives me a blank page when i push the delete. any ideas. it used to work. is there a folder that i can upload over to fix the problem. i am using 5.1.0.

i want to buy cubecart for another site that i am using 3.1.0 on and i want to upgrade to 5.x.x. is there a way without manualy uploading each pic and everything to do this. i want to take all the info from one site and put it on the new upgraded site. i have 2 sites total, directknifesales which has 5.1.0 and upload all the contents to wholesaleselfdefense after i upgrade it. is this possible?

when i upgraded to the 5.1.0, instead of writing over the folders i put the new uprade in to the folders. i deleted all but 2 and when i delete them they delete all my pics. those 2 are the ioncube/ioncube and js/js. how do i, when i delete the folder in the folder get my pics to show back up?

i am using 5.1.0 and want to update to 5.1.3. can i just upload the newest folder over 5.1.0 or do i need to go in order? where can i find the 5.1.3 upload at?

im using 5.1.0 and it worked since the upgrade but i had some malware on it and i had the hosting company run a malware check on it. if i were to upgrade it would it work? after reading all the problems people are haveing with the new upgrade im not sure i would want to till the next upgrade.

when i goto the maintenance folder and try to rebuid the site map it give me an error.. it says failed to rebuild sitemap. any clues?

i am wanting to do an update from 5.1.0 but i get a message from my hosting company saying that cpanel cannot make a back up because the file size is over 4gb. what might this be?

i am deleteing from the ftp. i turned off cache and it is still there.

i have some files in my cache that wont delete and when i do delete them it says no such directory and they come back. they cannot be deleted for some reason. they are also in my cache/skin folder. does anyone know what this is? i cannot make a backup of my site because it says the file is to large to back up.

i am checking out how things are going on google and when i googled a catagory or an individual item, it only has words of my frontpage meta tags listed on all of them. how do i get it to list the description of the items instead of the front page meta tags? anyone know? under Global Meta Data Behaviour Product, Category & Document Meta Data i have it marked as merge meta data (recommended) could this be the culprit? what does the disabled meta data do vs replace meta data?

i am trying to print off an order but when i do it prints the customer names page instead. it doesnt pop up a screen like it did in cc3 and print out a nice invoice. why might it be doing this? is this just how its made?

why does the shipping module called PER CATEGORY not work? why put it in the script if its not going to work? i bought cubecart because many shopping carts dont offer this mode. if i cannot use the shopping cart the way it should work and what i payed for, i may move on to something that does work. i got the whole thing set up with items and ready to go, UNTIL i tried using the PER CATEGORY shipping mode. i add say $10 for shipping in the first of the 3 lines and it adds it. but it wont add the categories that have the shipping input in the categories themselves. when i add a category it gives me the option to add shipping cost. why put that on there if its not going to work correctly? can someone please explain or is this like a bug or something that was overlooked? are there some things in the background that need to be hooked up or put in the script somewhere to make it work? i have been using cubecart for a long time, unless i am overlooking something, this mod is not setup correctly!

i use hostgator.com and can tell you just how to get it done. it took me a week of messing with them to understand. SO here is what you do with hostgator. you copy your cubecart file over in your or your public_html. goto your .com/cubecart 5.0.1 you will see it working!! then goto to hostgator chat and tell them you want that server side site to be a .com and not a .com/cubecart 5.0.1. , tell them you want it in your root directory, they will take a look and fix it. thats what i had to do to do it. they will see what they have to fix as far a servers and they also updated me to php 5.3, i used filezilla for ftp---hope this helps!!!
