Sitemaps are very important as they tell Google the exact URLs of pages on your site along with update frequencies etc. Visit the third-party forum for sitemap mods, this is the easiest way.

Tell a Friend has been removed from v5. It has been replaced with the Social Networking links.

ereg() functions are found in other files, not just that one. Upgrading will solve it.

Remember to upload in binary mode.Thanks for the excellent reply. I tried adding your code to the beginning of the second line but when I executed it I got the error "The file /home/xxxx/public_html/index_enc_ion.php is corrupted."
Version 4.1.1 is very old, upgrading to the latest release should be top priority. Don't forget to upgrade the skin as well.

This is possible with CubeCart. V4 has an integrated blog mod for it, take a look over in the third-party forum.

Perhaps it would have been better for you to ask a professional to look at the problem you were having. The solution is clearing the cache, if not the store then the browser. You definitely didn't need to lose your database or skin customisations.I did delete the cache several times. It took 3 downloads from cubecart and 4 uploads to my server to finally get it working. In the process, I had to completely wipe out my previous version and lose the work I had done on the store.

You need to add the HTML in source mode, and only save the page text in source mode. Otherwise the editor alters the HTML.

Some cheap shared hosting accounts are not sufficient for e-commerce systems. They are designed to be overloaded and allocate only a small amount of resources to each customer, that is the problem. You get what you pay for.
There are lots of hosting companies out there who have no problems running v5 in a shared environment.

Did you manually clear the cache as indicated in the release announcement? If you didn't, then there is your problem.

Have you cleared your browser cache completely? sometimes re-adding the site to your favourites can refresh it. You've not mentioned which browser you're using, vital information really as Ie is the hardest to get the favicon to change.
