  1. I have SSL disabled, and everything works, except ONE category always results in

    "Your connection is not secure

The owner of xxxxx has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

I've deleted and recreated the category several times to no avail...

  2. I am now also having that problem with the latest CC. Admin login won't take what I am ALMOST sure is the password and username. It will not send an email. Is thetre a place I can find it? I don't have the file /classes/password.class.php   It is not in my classes folder.

    Cheers

  3. One last try if you have the patience... OK, after a bit of "work" I now get this on the main site:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /hermes/walnaweb01a/b2814/pow.nukefizz/htdocs/store/includes/functions.inc.php on line 1094 Warning: include(language//config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hermes/walnaweb01a/b2814/pow.nukefizz/htdocs/store/includes/global/index.inc.php on line 51 Warning: include(language//config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hermes/walnaweb01a/b2814/pow.nukefizz/htdocs/store/includes/global/index.inc.php on line 51 Warning: include(): Failed opening 'language//config.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php-5.3.29-amd64/lib/php') in /hermes/walnaweb01a/b2814/pow.nukefizz/htdocs/store/includes/global/index.inc.php on line 51 Warning: require(language//home.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hermes/walnaweb01a/b2814/pow.nukefizz/htdocs/store/includes/content/index.inc.php on line 44 Warning: require(language//home.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hermes/walnaweb01a/b2814/pow.nukefizz/htdocs/store/includes/content/index.inc.php on line 44 Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required 'language//home.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php-5.3.29-amd64/lib/php') in /hermes/walnaweb01a/b2814/pow.nukefizz/htdocs/store/includes/content/index.inc.php on line 44

and THIS on the admin page:

    Thanks in advance!

  4. Thanks for the quick response! I can see exactly what the admin folder is named, as well as adminfile. I can't log in to the admin site - that's where I get the communication error box stating

    Software License Error #12

    Communication Error.

    Status:
includes/extra folder exists and is writable.
    includes/extra/key.php doesn't exist!
Note: The key.php file can be deleted at anytime and the store will attempt to regenerate it. Your software license key is held in the includes/global.inc.php file.

    Solution:

There has been a connectivity issue attempting to license your store. Please contact your hosting company to make sure either 'cURL' or 'fsockopen' is enabled on the server or if your site is behind a proxy server. If it is behind a proxy server you will need to edit the admin.php file with the proxy address and port provided by your hosting company. If this issue remains please contact CubeCart technical support with FTP access to your store so that our staff can investigate this further. If you see an error message below please speecify this also in order to help us resolve this quickly for you.

I followed your instructions for the error log, and I get no white page, and the log has no errors

  5. I took the easy way out and simply changed the text on the checkout page from the admin panel - modules> languages>en > front end phrases > content> view basket /content pages. I changed the text displayed from "Got a gift cert or promo code" to "Enter code and click 'apply changes' button below"

  6. I quite agree that going to that first Paypal page is a drag. The CC option is so small and incidental, that some people DO miss it, and even for those who don't miss it, it is really cheesy and amateurish looking. The NEXT page is fine, and contains all of the same options and info - is there a way to bypass that first page?

I also added a graphic explaining the Paypal page, but that is an inelegant solution. Pointing out the correct way to navigate an extraneous page just makes the problem worse. I will try to ask Paypal, but I suspect they want that page there to encourage people to sign up (which they can do just as easily on the following less cheesy page) I notice on the PP demo of Website payments Standard and Pro, they do not show that page when they show you what your customers will see....

    Cheers,

    RD

Is there a way to customize this page or redirect them directly to the credit card payment option? Most my customers seem wary to open a paypal account. The Credit Card only choice is so small they can't see it.

    Use_Credit_Card.jpg

    Any suggestions???

  7. If you rename the directory the store sits in, you must update your global.inc. php file to reflect the changes. The fact that downloads are working on Mac an not PC lead me to believe that it is a file name problem. I've also noticed a few times that if the obfuscated download link is long and wraps on a second line- problems can occur.

Well the filenames are not the issue, but thanks, I hadn't thought of that. It is filesize, I am sure. Anything over 30 MB just won't download completely on a PC. I'll wait till I upgrade to CC 4 to go crazy over this. I am just VERY grateful to tech support for helping me get my admin page sorted out.

I even tried OScommerce, it had the same prob, and didn't like it anyway.....

Thanks again, and if you have any other ideas, I'd be happy to hear them!

  8. Always at the root level using the root path. I wonder if it might be a filename issue. Try to shorten the filename and omit non alpha-numeric symbols.

Thanks! That's worth a try. There are no non-alphanumerics, but some of the filenames ARE long.

The new problem is that I can not get into my admin page. It looks like I am being redirected. When I try to go to:

    http://discretedrumsonline.com/carts/admin

    it goes to:

    http://discretedrumsonline.com/carts/admin...admin/index.php

I get the Page Not Found 404 error. The actual url used to be http://discretedrumsonline/cart but as I can not get into my admin panel, and people have been ordering, I changed the CC directory so people can not place orders till I get this sorted out. Changing the CC folder from "cart" to "carts" is the only way I can disable the store for the moment.

Thanks for your help, I can't wait till I can get into my admin and try it!

    Best,

    Rick

  9. I have a site that sells albums in zipped mp3 format and many of the files approach 100 megs. There have been no issues with incomplete downloads to PC's ...

Are you using the root path or HTTP path for downloads? When I use the root path, with a download folder at the root level of my server, I have the above mentioned problems (with PC only - Mac works fine)

When I place the download folder inside the catalog folder, with CC, and use the http path, all works fine, but then I am more susceptible to theft....

Where do you have your download folder?

  10. You should have uploaded the contents of the upload file, not the upload file itself. Sounds like you did the entire folder?

I did at first- but then i changed it so that the URL is now mywebsite/store...

    before it was mywebsite/upload/store...

I'm having a similar problem out of the blue. I did nothing, and since yesterday I can not get in to my admin page - it shows a Page Not Found 404. I have a valid index.php file in my admin folder.

When I try to go to the admin site http://discretedrumsonline.com/cart/admin it take me here:

    http://discretedrumsonline.com/cart/admin/...admin/index.php

    and displays the 404 page.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, Rick

  11. I've had many users complain that the download link in the auto email from CC doesn't work. I've confirmed this and will try to sort ot out under a different post, but it would also be more elegant to return customers to their order page where they can see the actual download link.

What url must I enter into Paypals return url filed in order to go to the download page?

    Thanks!

Also, where can I alter the email notification with the DL link? There seems to be a lot of garbage characters after the DL link in the body of the email, and most customers are not savvy enough to select ONLY the valid link....

  12. I'm currently testing out a new shop and I keep getting this message whenever I try and make a new (test) order. Any idea what the problem might be?

    Cheers

Go to Paypal, open your profile, open payment receiving prefs and under "block accidental payments, select NO, allow multiple payments etc.. This will allow you to test your purchases. After you're finished testing, I'd set it back to yes so users can't accidentally buy the same thing twice.....

  13. I have files that range from 15 to 200 MB when zipped. They download fine on a Mac, no matter what the size. PCs however have trouble even with some small files. A PC can not download a zip over 20MB or so, OR an MP3 over 5 MB or so.

I have updated and checked the zips themselves, and they are fine. The reason I suspect CC is that even MP3s have problems. Smaller ones work fine, larger ones download, but audio stops after 2 minutes or so.

    Any ideas?

  14. I've seen other's post thos with no respnses so I thought I'd ask. I would like to make the first phrase in a product description a link to hear an audio clip (or other link) so that when you view a category, the product list contains links. That way users can hear an audio clip from within the cateogry, and not have to open each product to hear the audio.

Obviously the links work in the product page, no problem, but no matter what I try, the same link will not work when viewing the list of products in a category.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks in advance!

  15. You'd have to contact Yahoo for that, unless someone here is also using them as a host. For me (using Powweb) it's easy to get the root path. It's worth a phone call or an email to Yahoo support to get this info. You don't wan't your downloads in an http path...

    Hi Forum!

Does anyone knows how to know where is my server root path for a YAHOO SMALL BUSINESS hosting plan? (how does it work this "Server Root Path: /usr/local/vhosts/www.domain.com/downloads/download.exe" 4 Yahoo!?)

i used to work on a cPanel and it was easier to know but with Yahoo! it just don't know how to do it.

Also, i want to change $00.00 to FREE, i mean, i want to see "FREE" instead "$00.00" on free products, how can i do that?

    Thanks!

    FHERNANDO =) :)
