NFL, google... and everywhere else i have seen are asking to donate through the red cross as they are the most enabled to get the support the people need.. it is terrible what is happening.. it looks like a 3rd world country.. i am really happy the only thing the midwest has to worry about is tornados.. i know when i was on the west coast there was like 4 earthquakes in a week.. . But back on topic, from what I've heard, the Red Cross are not being allowed into the area to provide aid. What your friend's friends were told was probably something along those lines, and then got misconstrued as it passed through the friend and then to you...
