jerseyjoe
The upgrade folder for 3.05 contains every kind of an upgrade readme except 3.03 to 3.05. Must I do this in baby-steps, .03 to .04 and then 04 to .05 or is there a way to upgrade directly in one step?
Guest robcinoz
I'm in a similar situation. I need to go from 3.0.1 to 3.0.5. Do I need to perform each "baby step" or can I simply upgrade straight to 3.0.5? OK - I've read through other posts on the forum and it appears that the "step by step" method is the way to go. ( e.g. see "upgrade from 3.02 to 3.04" post)
Guest sunshine
Hi JerseyJoe, doublecheck but if I can remember (not too long ago) 3.04 was just 6 changes with no db changes so you can move from 3to4 maually wasily, then just open eyes wide when moving to 5 if you have mods. Hi Robcinoz, If you're running version 3.01 then you should use WinMerge but don't skip any versions. :P
Guest robcinoz
If I use WinMerge and still have to do every version, would it actually be faster? It seems that I'll just have to go step by step. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Guest sunshine
Hi Robcinoz, You do not have any mods installed? If you do not have any mods then WinMerge is not necessary.
Guest robcinoz
Thanks Sunshine, No mods installed and I've begun the upgrade process. 02 almost finished uploading and I've prepared 03 so it is ready to go up next. Thanks again, :P
